What you'll do

  • Collaborate across a broad portfolio of sophisticated evidence synthesis projects in a multi-level team structure.
  • Develop deliverables such as study protocols and technical reports.
  • Handle day-to-day client communications.
  • Delegate and oversee tasks completed by junior researchers.
  • Complete complex job responsibilities independently.
  • Provide mentorship and direction for others in delivering project work.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, medical affairs, and requirements for health technology assessments.
  • Oversee systematic literature reviews and/or quantitative evidence synthesis studies.
  • Identify considerations relevant to the synthesis of available evidence and communicate these within deliverables such as feasibility assessments and statistical analysis plans.
  • Develop client-ready deliverables including protocols, statistical analysis plans, technical reports, and slides.
  • Contribute to short-term resourcing discussions.
  • Manage delivery of components of projects by collaborating with other staff members to ensure high quality outputs.
  • Help ensure timely delivery and financial performance of projects or project subcomponents.
  • Estimate required hours, identify challenges early, and communicate changes and viable solutions to the project lead if necessary.
  • Review update slides/minutes and actions for overall study.
  • Act as an independent researcher for specific study or components in the client’s view.
  • Lead client calls and respond to emails, inviting input from senior team members where appropriate.
  • Create development plans and act as a mentor for direct reports.
  • Contribute to development of proposals and presentations under guidance of more senior team members.
  • Participate in meetings related to new business, including concept ideation.

What they require

  • Technical experience in systematic literature reviews and/or indirect treatment comparisons, such as NMA, MAIC, STC, for health technology assessment submissions.
  • Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research, e.g. health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or science such as biology/biochemistry.
  • 4-6 years’ professional experience.
  • Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EndNote.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in R/R Shiny advantageous.
