What you'll do

  • Consistently project manage and deliver high priority projects to ensure completion on time and within the agreed scope and budget.
  • Be proactive in his/her role within the Core Team.
  • Work with Core Team members to scenario plan and mitigate the potential impact of risks to the project.
  • With limited supervision, lead project teams to deliver low and medium complexity projects on-time and meeting agreed target specifications associated with quality and cost.
  • Support higher complexity projects and learn from more experienced team members.
  • Set realistic yet challenging project milestones.
  • Establish a high-performing team culture.
  • Establish a core project team and work across functions to provide a coordinated and collaborative approach to managing NPD and Lifecycle Management projects.
  • Create detailed project plans identifying and sequencing activities and required resources.
  • Work within cross functional teams to ensure workstreams are planned and integrated into master schedules.
  • Establish effective communication plans and ensure appropriate stakeholder management.
  • Review project schedules and monitor overall progress; revise schedules/plan as required and provide timely escalation where appropriate.
  • Manage compliance to both Design Control and Business processes; prepare for Gate reviews and ensure adherence to IDEAL process.
  • Set up files to ensure all project information is appropriately documented and archived.
  • Support the PMO to develop and enhance project management tools, processes, and systems.

What they require

  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing and delivering New Product Development projects for a medical device company
  • Prior experience working in Medical Device or similar highly regulated industry
  • Strong proficiency in the use of MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Teams, database software, SAP, MS Outlook, Project Management Cloud Software
  • Strong communicator; speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques
  • Leader and team-worker who actively looks to develop themself and others; proactively networks across a complex organizational hierarchy and works cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals and resolve problems
  • Advanced Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Science discipline; MS preferred
  • Project management certification is preferred (PMP, APM or equivalent)
  • Position may involve travel up to 15% of the time
  • Primarily remote working with expectation of travelling to the Global Development Center in Deeside as required (at least monthly)
