What you'll do

  • Develop and execute product marketing strategy to drive awareness, adoption, spend, and revenue growth for Mercury’s Cards and Spend Management products.
  • Go deep on Mercury’s products, market, and customers to articulate product positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to understand customer needs and gaps in incumbent products.
  • Plan and execute product GTMs, including audience segmentation, messaging, channel strategy, and measurement.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to influence the product roadmap to increase product adoption and customer growth.
  • Partner with Sales and Relationship Management teams to improve sales win rates and product upsell opportunities.
  • Work with marketing and brand teams to develop email campaigns, landing pages, advertising, case studies, social posts, and public relations outreach related to the products.
  • Handle project needs such as writing press releases, negotiating sponsorships, and interviewing customers.

What they require

  • 6+ years experience, with 3+ years of product marketing experience at a tech company.
  • Preferred: At least 1 year of product marketing experience in fintech.
  • Expertise in personas, positioning, messaging, pricing, and GTM strategy.
  • Understanding of marketing channels and content types, and how to deliver the right message to the right audience at the right time.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across different levels of the company.
  • Strong strategic thinking ability and ability to translate market insights into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Customer-centric approach, excitement to talk to customers, and experience turning customer research into actionable strategy and recommendations.
  • Enjoys storytelling through numbers and testing assumptions.
  • Flexibility and understanding that responsibilities may change as priorities shift in a fast-growing startup.
