What you'll do

  • Take ownership of new and existing Mobile products, driving customer and commercial value.
  • Lead products end-to-end from early research and ideation through implementation and ongoing iteration.
  • Shape Xero's Mobile strategy and ensure mobile solutions solve valuable customer problems.
  • Embed data and customer insights into product decisions.
  • Establish clear product roadmaps.
  • Deliver seamless experiences for the business and users.
  • Work with a cross-functional mobile product team alongside broader product functions, engineering, and design.
  • Foster a supportive environment focused on continuous learning, coaching, and product practice excellence.
  • Define and execute the Mobile product strategy and roadmaps while aligning key workstreams with Xero's overall objectives.
  • Conduct customer engagement and research to identify, frame, and validate high-value problem areas.
  • Establish team delivery cadences, define success metrics, and participate in quarterly OKR planning.
  • Guide products through their full lifecycle, managing risk, compliance, and iterative performance improvements.

What they require

  • Experience shipping AI or automation capabilities that measurably reduced manual effort for users.
  • Background in mobile product management, ideally within fintech, accounting, or financial domains.
  • Experience managing complex products end-to-end, with a track record of translating customer research into actionable product strategies.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, capable of building alignment across diverse teams and navigating difficult conversations.
  • Comfort navigating complex technical domains and curiosity for turning intricate systems into simple experiences.
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor colleagues in user research methodologies, product prioritisation, and experimental problem-solving.
  • Decisive approach to product management, prioritizing shippable value over perfection in fast-moving environments.
  • Comfort with setting key product metrics, tracking customer performance, and establishing clear team OKRs.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuously improving product management practices and team delivery.
  • Candidates should be based in Sydney or Melbourne, with occasional office attendance for team offsites and collaborative planning days.
