What you'll do

  • Set the vision, strategy, and 12–18 month roadmap for Literacy, PreK-5 products including CKLA, Caminos, and Language Studio.
  • Align the product roadmap with company long-term goals and product strategy while solving immediate customer pain points.
  • Contribute insights that shape the company’s 2–3 year product portfolio vision.
  • Set quarterly OKRs for the product area in partnership with the Director.
  • Hold yourself and the team accountable for product-level outcomes.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement review cycles to ensure features drive customer retention, engagement, revenue, and team success.
  • Drive products through the stage gate process, owning deliverables and analysis for the product area.
  • Partner with the Director on cross-product investment decisions.
  • Own and execute research initiatives.
  • Develop product concepts and plans to deliver business goals.
  • Create detailed quarterly release and execution plans with feature and task estimates in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Work with Design to create mission-aligned, feasible user experiences.
  • Write clear, concise specifications and manage a prioritized backlog.
  • Partner with Curriculum to translate pedagogical best practice into engaging and rigorous print and digital product experiences.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to define physical components and product specifications such as binding types, paper weight, and durability.
  • Balance classroom performance and durability expectations, instructional quality standards, brand and safety requirements, and margin targets.
  • Advocate for users in all phases of product development.
  • Conduct qualitative research including interviews, focus groups, and observations.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis to understand user needs and translate them into product priorities.
  • Continuously analyze competitor curriculum offerings to identify gaps, differentiators, and winning features for the next edition or release.
  • Observe industry trends and incorporate findings into future plans to drive competitive advantage and differentiation.
  • Lead products and the teams that create and enable them from ideation and requirement gathering to launch and post-launch iteration.
  • Be accountable for product quality and scope, product and organizational readiness, professional development strategy, and delivery timeline.
  • Lead ceremonies for multiple teams.
  • Attend daily standups and work with APMs and teams to ensure blockers are resolved within 24 hours.
  • Provide broader context and goals to cross-functional teams for sprint plans and features.
  • Lead by influence to align senior leadership and stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and CX around product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Serve as the organization’s go-to person for your products and features.
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and CX to develop positioning, internal training, and external messaging for successful product launch and market performance.
  • Identify and prioritize AI opportunities across the product area.
  • Shape the roadmap using AI capabilities such as personalization, automation, and prediction to create value for users and teams.
  • Partner with engineering to evaluate feasibility and bring AI experiences to market.
  • Represent product and feature details to the team and senior leaders.
  • Drive a high-performance team culture focused on speed, curiosity, honesty, continuous improvement, and outcomes over outputs.
  • Ensure product decisions ladder up to student and teacher outcomes, scale effectively, and advance Amplify’s mission.
  • Use creative problem solving to turn constraints into realistic solutions.
  • Partner with Research & Measurement and Data Science to measure and evaluate hypotheses and releases.
  • Extract insights from data to inform product strategy and the team.
  • Mentor APMs and PMs in product management.

What they require

  • 8+ years of product management experience, ideally in a high-growth SaaS, ed tech, or consumer tech environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required or equivalent combination of education and direct experience.
  • Preferred: Advanced degree.
  • Startup and growth experience in fast-moving environments where priorities shift and ownership is essential.
  • Proven track record managing the end-to-end lifecycle of complex products from vision through launch and iteration.
  • Ability to inspire teammates, structure ambiguity, and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to tell stories in speech and writing.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse stakeholders and inspire confidence in leadership.
  • Comfort shaping AI-powered experiences and partnering with technical teams to evaluate opportunities and bring them to market.
  • Technical literacy and comfort working with complex technical domains and partnering with engineers to solve hard problems.
  • Preferred: Experience with bilingual education and/or English language development education.
  • Preferred: Experience working with supply chain operations and digital platform teams.
