What you'll do

  • Own the Lesson Insights product end to end, including strategy, roadmap, execution, and results for a flagship AI experience across learners and tutors, web and mobile.
  • Prioritize what feedback to show learners, when, and how, so learners act on it rather than seeing everything models can detect.
  • Shape per-lesson insights and structure how they ladder up into progress over time, working closely with the Progress squad.
  • Design Lesson Insights for both learners and tutors to strengthen the learner-tutor relationship.
  • Maximize how many learners benefit from Insights by scaling to other languages.
  • Maximize feature retention through useful and engaging design that makes users want to check insights after every lesson.
  • Pull analyses on how learners engage with feedback, what drives repeat usage, and where the experience is falling flat.

What they require

  • Substantial experience building consumer-facing, mobile-first products with frequent, habitual use.
  • Keen eye for design and care about the details of a delightful experience.
  • Experience shipping products built on LLMs or NLP at scale.
  • Ability to discuss LLM/NLP tradeoffs and approaches with the team, including evals, hallucinations, quality variance, latency, cost, and how to design around them.
  • Genuine curiosity about learners and tutors and ability to bring that into prioritization decisions.
  • Deeply data-driven; able to go into the data, find the signal, and build a point of view from scratch without waiting to be handed an analysis.
  • Solid grounding in A/B testing, experiment design, and reading results without fooling yourself.
  • Strong communication; able to turn complex, ambiguous work into a clear point of view that drives leadership-level decisions.
  • Bias for action; able to balance conviction-building with quick, lean hypothesis testing, shipping MVPs, learning, and iterating.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; able to make fuzzy things measurable and drive alignment on what good looks like.
  • Experience with learning languages.
  • Preferred: EdTech or learning science background, including CEFR, assessment, and feedback design.
  • Preferred: Experience with unstructured data such as text, audio, and transcripts.
  • Preferred: Experience with habit-forming products and behavioural psychology.

Benefits

  • Help define the future of education at global scale.
  • Build something that matters for millions of people every day.
  • Inclusive environment where people of diverse backgrounds can thrive.
