No BS summary

Senior Product Manager for a long-term U.S. state-government project that is already in progress. Core job: make and defend product decisions amid ambiguity, protect scope and delivery, and coach a distributed team through client and vendor pressure. Fully remote anywhere in the U.S.; final selection depends on the state's approval of the candidate.

What you'll do

  • Own the delivery side of the product
  • Turn ambiguity, competing priorities, and delivery constraints into clear decisions teams can act on
  • Clarify scope and surface risks early
  • Manage dependencies
  • Protect team focus
  • Create the decision paths needed for the work to land as intended
  • Embed deeply in the project to anticipate problems and reduce last-minute churn
  • Help the team move through pressure with clarity and momentum
  • Partner closely with clients, engineers, designers, vendors, and client stakeholders

What they require

  • Have strong product instincts and can make and defend good decisions with incomplete information
  • Know how to build trust with clients while leading difficult conversations about scope, risk, budget, timeline, and trade-offs
  • Can turn complex or competing requirements into manageable work without losing sight of the outcome
  • Know how to protect delivery commitments by surfacing risks early, creating clear decision paths, and managing late-breaking requests before they derail the roadmap
  • Have worked with distributed teams and know how to protect focus, maintain momentum, and coach others through ambiguity

Benefits

  • Full benefits: health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance
  • Flexible PTO
  • Professional development and work from home funds
  • Work from anywhere in the U.S.
