What you'll do

  • Own product design end-to-end for the Search domain, from problem definition and research through UX/UI, prototyping, validation, and developer handoff, while thinking holistically across the full traveler funnel.
  • Lead strategic and psychological explorations of the product and brand experience, reframing hard problems rather than only optimizing existing screens.
  • Turn business goals, traveler needs, and data into design solutions that help people judge options quickly and book with confidence.
  • Design and ship optimizations and improvements across the Search experience, including quality and trust signals, review clarity, price insights, and explaining how the Vio ecosystem works.
  • Prove design impact through A/B testing.
  • Run user research using the lightest method that answers the question.
  • Partner with the UX Research function and turn insights into decisions and metrics where possible.
  • Use competitor benchmarking and prototypes to gather feedback before moving to high-fidelity design.
  • Contribute to and build on Atlas, Vio's design system, designing reusable, tokenized, multi-brand components.
  • Raise the bar on design craft across the domain by championing user-centered, evidence-led ways of working.
  • Use AI to accelerate ideation, research synthesis, prototyping, and copy or variant exploration.
  • Partner closely with product, engineering, analytics, UX research, and content to align on direction, trade-offs, and delivery within a two-week cadence.

What they require

  • 5+ years designing large-scale, consumer-facing digital products, with a portfolio of shipped work.
  • Experience owning the full design process from discovery through delivery and iteration, not just handing off mockups.
  • Ability to think across the whole journey while going deep on hard strategic and behavioral problems.
  • Portfolio showing user-centered problem solving and business impact, ideally backed by data or metrics, alongside high-quality UX, UI, interaction, and visual design.
  • Comfort designing information-dense, fast-decision interfaces such as search, comparison, or e-commerce.
  • Experiment-driven design approach, fluency in how user behavior is measured across the funnel, motivation by A/B testing, and ability to make sound calls when metrics are not available.
  • Ability to run research and synthesize insight into decisions, and work well with UX researchers.
  • Fluent work in Figma and modern prototyping workflows.
  • Experience designing with and contributing to design systems.
  • Active use of AI as a tool to work faster without dropping quality.
  • Ability to make the case for design decisions with evidence, influence PMs, engineers, and senior stakeholders, stay resilient, and navigate ambiguity.
  • Candidates must be based in CET +/-3 timezones.
  • Applicant location requirement: Netherlands.
  • Preferred: experience in travel/OTA or high-traffic consumer platforms, especially two-sided marketplaces balancing traveler needs with partner or supply constraints.
  • Preferred: exposure to multi-brand or white-label design.
  • Preferred: interest in designing AI-assisted or conversational experiences.

Benefits
