What you'll do

  • Own meaningful parts of the Inventory experience end to end, from understanding the problem through to shipping and learning from the outcome.
  • Design UX patterns for AI assistants across web and mobile that make restaurant and back office teams’ lives easier.
  • Ship enhancements across the full Inventory surface, making the product effective and trustworthy for busy operators.
  • Design to decrease time on task and increase clarity, using customer insights, product data, and business metrics to shape decisions and measure impact.
  • Work with cross-functional partners from product, engineering and customer success to deliver real business outcomes.
  • Contribute to and evolve Bento, the design system.
  • Prototype fast in Figma, code, or whatever helps move quickest to stress-test ideas internally and with customers.
  • Help the product grow up without getting old, bringing enterprise-grade maturity without losing speed, creativity, or customer focus.

What they require

  • Proven track record designing B2B, operational, or workflow-heavy products, ideally at SaaS start-ups or scale-ups during a period of rapid growth.
  • 5+ years of end-to-end product design experience, taking a 0→1 product out the door and scaling it 1→10 alongside PMs and engineers.
  • Portfolio that is simple and outcome-focused: the problem, the solution, your role, and the result.
  • Experience being the go-to person driving important product work forward, including rallying a team around a specific problem, testing hypotheses with real customers, shipping, and systemising solutions for the company.
  • Cares about business and customer impact and drives toward measurable outcomes.
  • Can explain how design work moved the customer’s P&L.
  • Holds strong, customer-informed opinions and can reason from first principles while staying open to feedback and evidence.
  • Resourceful and proactive in ambiguous situations.
  • Understands complex domains deeply, then rises above the complexity to make something radically simpler.
  • Works effectively across functions and simplifies complex ideas.
  • Can point to decisions they made, not just what they helped the team execute.
  • Comfortable with HTML, CSS, React, Tailwind or tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor to build dynamic prototypes.
  • Not afraid to ship code to production when it helps.
  • Has seen a product or company go from scrappy to enterprise-grade without losing momentum and actively builds a playbook from what they learn.
  • Preferred: Has brought a touch of B2C design sensibility to B2B products.
  • Preferred: Experience in hospitality, food service, restaurant tech, inventory, procurement, or another operationally complex industry.
  • Preferred: Has designed effective automation or AI-assisted experiences in a B2B product.
  • Preferred: Track record of staying with a company as it scaled from Series A/B/C and taking on harder problems over time.
  • Preferred: Side projects where they owned design, build, and distribution themselves.
