The Senior Portfolio Consultant I assumes a critical role in executing investment implementations for complex portfolio transitions and high net worth clients. This role is deeply involved in the investment process, serving as the point person for newly acquired firms assimilating to our investment platform and models.

What you'll do

  • Communicate investment philosophy and available investment strategies clearly and effectively.
  • Provide status updates on portfolio implementations proactively and timely.
  • Deliver an excellent experience to our Wealth Advisor Teams in developing and implementing investment strategies.
  • Have the ability to work both independently as well as within a team on multiple time-sensitive projects with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Lead presentations on various investment topics to Wealth Advisor teams.
  • Support new Portfolio Consultants with developing core competencies within investment platform.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of capital markets and portfolio design & management.
  • Match Advisor implementation goals with available investment strategies.
  • Expertise in complex investment vehicles, models, and platform, including public and private markets.
  • Draft, support, and audit analytics, proposals, and deliverables for Wealth Management Teams.
  • Understanding of account configuration options such as cash reserves, rebalancing frequency, and do-not-buy / do-not-sell restrictions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of short-term and long-term capital gains tax to help transition portfolios over desired time-horizons.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred (preferably Business, Economics, Psychology, or Finance related)
  • CFP ® and/or Series 65 required
  • CFA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 4 years of financial industry related experience
  • Working knowledge of Orion and Morningstar preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred
  • Strong problem-solving experience and skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and highly collaborative approach
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
