What you'll do

  • Translate regional fundraising strategy, priorities, and goals into programs, tools, and experiences for local fundraising teams.
  • Develop events that build champions and generate revenue.
  • Create communications that deepen donor investment over time.
  • Standardize campaigns for scalability while allowing for local flexibility.
  • Provide operations support for local fundraising teams.
  • Ensure every donor has an exceptional experience.
  • Lead a team of specialists responsible for events, donor communications, campaigns, and fundraising operations.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy.
  • Set vision and direction for donor relations strategy across campaigns, events, content, and communications.
  • Develop a compelling core case for support.
  • Establish a donor messaging architecture.
  • Partner with VPs of Field Fundraising, Executive Directors, and local fundraising teams to translate regional priorities into a cohort-wide development strategy.
  • Set operational standards and build systems for invoicing, CRM discipline, data management, and content organization.
  • Contribute to enterprise-wide priorities such as corps member and Ignite Fellow selection.

What they require

  • 10+ years of experience in a complex development and fundraising context
  • Deep expertise in donor cultivation, stewardship, and pipeline-building across individual, corporate, and foundation streams
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding ambitious revenue goals
  • Skilled at setting vision and leading execution of complex, high-stakes fundraising events including galas and benefit dinners
  • Adept at producing compelling donor communications and campaigns across multiple audience segments
  • Exceptional writer, communicator, and storyteller with a donor-centered mindset
  • Demonstrated success managing a diverse team across multiple functions with a clear approach to developing talent and maintaining high standards
  • Strength in building campaigns that are scalable and locally adaptable
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across geographically dispersed teams
  • Comfort using CRM data to monitor progress, identify gaps, and adjust strategy
  • Ability to work in close partnership with senior leaders to translate strategy into operational priorities
