Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Senior Business Development Manager for its Multi-Domain Datalink Solutions portfolio within our C4IA business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US Department of Defense (DoD) networked weapons development programs.

What you'll do

  • Work with a team (cross-functional and cross-enterprise) of business development and marketing professionals in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to identify, influence, pursue and capture new business in the portfolio
  • Day to day activity includes responsibility for identifying, developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and customers
  • Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities
  • Be a trusted source of information for new and upcoming weapons development activities
  • Develop and present compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis to senior internal stakeholders
  • Develops and maintains customer insight for early identification and shaping of customer requirements and our internal investment and strategies
  • Interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Normally receives minimal supervision on day-to-day work and general instructions on new assignments
  • Travel up to 50% may be required

What they require

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience identifying and capturing new business involving guided weapons systems
  • Experience with the development of concept of operations for guided/networked weapon systems
  • Experience developing compelling strategic and business growth opportunities and briefing them to senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience identifying solutions in a fast-paced environment where requirements are loosely defined
