What you'll do

  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze standard cost accounting records for commercial supply chain inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Support standard costing of new product introductions for the US and ex-US markets.
  • Lead continuous improvements to the cost accounting model while looking for opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Ensure inventory is properly valued on the balance sheet including treatment of capitalized variances and establishment of required reserves.
  • Support inventory master data, analyze inventory transactions and related accounting flows, and reconcile book to perpetual inventory accounts.
  • Represent Finance Operations to lead the development of standardized inventory policies and procedures, working cross functionally with operational business partners.
  • Partner with Tax and international Finance team members to manage transfer pricing and profit eliminations.
  • Manage the annual 3PL physical inventory count and CMO inventory confirmation process.
  • Partner with Pharmaceutical Development & Manufacturing, Quality, Commercialization, FP&A, and Accounting on various projects as the organization evolves and scales.
  • Support ERP system enhancements for future company growth.
  • Interact with internal and external auditors, support audit requests, and ensure compliance with internal control procedures.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, strong preference for experience in biopharma.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience using standard costing with internal manufacturing or outsourced contract manufacturing.
  • Proven experience using advanced Excel functions for financial analyses, variance analysis, product cost modeling.
  • Deep knowledge of ERP system functionality, connecting operational transactions to accounting flows.
  • Working knowledge of full absorption costing, overhead build up, and key components of COGS.
  • Strong analytical thinking, and attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superior people skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with all levels of the organization.
