What you'll do

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for the organization’s billing function, ensuring alignment with business and financial objectives.
  • Lead a globally running Billing and Collection team of 41 team members in the USA, Europa, India and Asia.
  • Optimize billing processes, policies, and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance, leveraging automation and best practices.
  • Drive initiatives to improve invoice management, reconciliation, and reporting while minimizing operational risk and supporting revenue recognition.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership on billing trends, client interactions, and financial performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs and cross-functional projects to enhance the client experience, streamline processes, and strengthen financial controls.
  • Monitor emerging billing technologies and industry best practices to ensure the organization remains innovative and market aligned.
  • Develop and execute a strategic framework for collections and credit management that maximizes cash flow and minimizes financial risk.
  • Establish proactive credit and collections strategies, including risk assessment, payment negotiations, and escalation protocols for complex accounts.
  • Partner with business and finance leaders to ensure collections and credit policies support organizational objectives and client relationships.
  • Deliver actionable insights on accounts receivable performance, cash flow forecasting, and credit risk to inform strategic financial decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor the collections and credit team to ensure high performance, professional growth, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing globally running team focused on excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve billing, payment, and receivables issues while enhancing client and business relationships.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to implement process improvements, system enhancements, and operational best practices.
  • Set team objectives, monitor performance, and report progress in strategic forums to senior leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of billing and collections data to support executive decision-making and financial planning.
  • Provide governance and oversight for compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver insights and recommendations from billing and collections data to inform cash flow planning, risk management, and strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to interpret financial results, identify trends, and recommend improvements to strengthen financial performance.

  • 10+ years of experience leading billing, collections, or finance operations functions in complex or global organizations.
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership, driving process transformation, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and providing actionable financial insights to guide business decisions.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-performing teams, including hiring, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Experience in billing system implementations, upgrades, and leveraging technology to optimize finance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and compliance frameworks relevant to Billing and Receivables.
  • Remain stationery for long periods of time.
  • Perform work during US business hours and time zones.
  • Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.
  • Travel required, up to 20% of time.
  • Perform work from a remote location with stable internet connection.
