What you'll do

  • Lead the planning, design, scaling, and oversight of linguistic quality programs with the Localization Quality Team Lead and cross-functional teams.
  • Design, refine, and operationalize linguistic quality frameworks, policies, and methodologies.
  • Act as a senior advisor on linguistic quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Define account audit frameworks and quality assessment approaches across designated accounts.
  • Oversee and validate account-level quality audits conducted by Localization Quality Managers and Quality Associates.
  • Analyze audit results to identify cross-client trends, systemic risks, and strategic improvement opportunities.
  • Guide quality improvement initiatives based on audit insights and performance data.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex or high-impact linguistic quality issues.
  • Participate in the review and validation of Corrective Action Reports and Client Corrective and Preventive Actions with Compliance and Production teams.
  • Support client-facing quality discussions, audits, and business reviews.
  • Contribute linguistic expertise to RFPs, test translations, solution design, and client meetings.
  • Advise on customized linguistic quality solutions for complex client requirements.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and dashboards.
  • Translate data insights into actionable recommendations and strategic decisions.
  • Lead research, evaluation, and adoption of new linguistic QA technologies, including automation and AI-powered solutions.
  • Mentor, coach, and support Localization Quality Managers and Quality Associates.
  • Participate in interviews and hiring decisions for quality team roles.
  • Participate in performance reviews and handle administrative tasks related to direct reports.
  • Create and maintain onboarding programs and training materials for new quality team members.
  • Promote best practices in linguistic QA, terminology management, and language asset governance.
  • Oversee quality-related administrative tasks.
  • Review and support memoQ project creation, setup, and configuration.
  • Assess, audit, and improve project templates and workflows for quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure operational processes align with defined quality standards and governance models.
  • Define account- and program-level translation memory management strategies and governance models with Technology teams.
  • Set standards and best practices for glossary and terminology management.
  • Guide teams on complex asset-related decisions and client-specific customization strategies.
  • Build and refine processes for terminology management, style guide development, query handling, and asset maintenance.
  • Manage third-party review efforts, LQA exchanges, and external benchmarking initiatives.
  • Approve review methodologies, evaluation criteria, and resource selection.
  • Use third-party insights to inform vendor management strategies, quality policy updates, and client advisory discussions.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for critical findings from third-party reviews or audits.

What they require

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the localization industry, including extensive linguistic QA experience and CAT tool usage.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience in quality-focused roles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional quality initiatives and manage large-scale programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of LQA tools, methodologies, and language asset management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level clients and complex localization programs.
  • Ability to drive innovation in quality processes, tooling, and automation.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a passion for team development.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and detail-oriented.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience leveraging technology to optimize workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into strategic action.
  • Energetic self-starter with a creative and structured approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Adobe software products.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Preferred: Additional languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
