Senior learning/instructional designer with 5–7 years of experience designing online corporate training. Must be Canada-based, work EST-compatible hours, and be comfortable designing AI and AI-adjacent technical training.

What you'll do

  • Define learning objectives based on client needs.
  • Create course outlines for live online training programs focused on data and AI.
  • Design content and activities aligned with learning objectives.
  • Develop slides and instructor guides for live online training programs focused on data and AI.
  • Manage content development for programs from inception to completion.
  • Define and meet content development objectives and timelines.
  • Set up mechanisms to track and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand and follow clients’ strategic direction.
  • Translate client needs into curriculum requirements.
  • Collaborate with experts and account managers on design, development, implementation, and feedback loops.
  • Consider assessment, delivery, and facilitation in learning design.
  • Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on best practices for online learning design and development.
  • Present innovative learning design solutions.
  • Bring a content and learning perspective to decision making.
  • Weigh pros and cons based on learning experience and desired program goals and outcomes.
  • Recommend content delivery methods based on learner profile, client goals, and subject matter.
  • Develop and grow knowledge of the EdTech and corporate learning landscape.
  • Design AI training workshops and programs for learners from individual contributors to executives.
  • Use adult learning and co-design principles to design evidence-based, customer- and user-centered, results-driven content and activities.
  • Research, design, and refine learning experiences in data, AI, and other technology areas.
  • Work with Operations, Account Management, instructors, and potential learners to ensure programs deliver professional growth and client outcomes.

What they require

  • 5–7 years experience working in a Learning or Instructional Designer role.
  • Experience executing projects that align with company and client goals.
  • Strong understanding of how projects impact goals and ability to prioritize based on highest impact.
  • Comfortable designing corporate training for AI and AI-adjacent technical topics.
  • Expertise in designing courses for online learning, both synchronous and asynchronous training.
  • Comfortable with quick pivots and operating with some ambiguity.
  • Seeks clarity through open and thoughtful communication.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented.
  • Biased for action and tenacious.
  • Collaborative spirit.
  • Proactive in reaching out to people and keeping them in the loop.
  • Ability to be self-sufficient in determining appropriate channels for communication and collaboration.
  • Self-aware and able to learn and grow from actions that did not return the desired outcome.
  • Comfortable and excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Superior written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be based in Canada.
