What you'll do

  • Develop and improve code according to bank-wide and team standards
  • Ensure code quality and completeness of requirements implementation
  • Clarify requirements, analyze risks, decompose tasks, estimate work, and agree expected outcomes
  • Own tasks from agreed solution through production launch
  • Run PoC and R&D work to validate approaches for a task or service
  • Participate in production incident analysis with the support team
  • Find and fix defects and performance issues, including after load testing
  • Coordinate with adjacent teams on integrations and technical issues
  • Maintain project technical documentation and provide technical consultations
  • Keep code clean and readable, participate in code review, and cover changes with unit and integration tests
  • Ensure code quality and complete implementation of requirements
  • Perform PoC and R&D work to validate approaches for specific tasks or services
  • Participate in production issue analysis with the support team
  • Find and fix defects and performance issues, including from load testing results
  • Work with adjacent teams on integrations and technical questions
  • Maintain technical project documentation and provide technical consultations
  • Maintain clean readable code, participate in code review, and cover changes with unit and integration tests

What they require

  • 4+ years of commercial Java development experience
  • Confident experience developing streaming services with Kafka or Kafka Streams
  • Experience with object storage such as MinIO or S3
  • Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or YDB
  • Experience with Kubernetes, including basic entities and diagnosing deployment and application configuration issues
  • Experience with containerization tools and user-level understanding of CI/CD
  • Experience with REST, SOAP, or gRPC
  • Confident Git skills
  • Experience developing high-load systems
  • Experience applying design principles and architectural patterns
  • Banking domain experience is a plus
  • Confident experience developing streaming services with Kafka / Kafka Streams
  • Experience with Kubernetes, including understanding basic entities and diagnosing deployment and application configuration issues
  • Banking experience is a plus
