Team Overview Aksia’s Private Equity team sources, evaluates, and invests in primary funds, co-investments, and secondary opportunities. The team partners with clients to design customized solutions spanning investment management, advisory, and research & data. As of May 31, 2026, Aksia’s Private Equity team oversaw $116 billion in private equity client assets. Position Overview Aksia is seeking a senior investment professional to join its Private Equity team to lead client-focused teams working with sophisticated institutional investors on investment strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment selection. The successful candidate will build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and prospects, serving as a strategic partner in helping them evaluate investment opportunities and develop programs to align with their investment objectives. This role can be based anywhere in the US, with a preference for New York City or San Diego, and will include regular interaction with Aksia colleagues, clients, and prospects. Key Responsibilities Lead small, client-focused teams advising institutional investors on private equity strategy, asset allocation, portfolio construction, pacing, liquidity, and investment selection Serve as a senior relationship lead for clients and prospects, building trust with investment committees, boards, CIOs, and other decision-makers Translate Aksia’s market research, investment diligence, and analytics into actionable, client-specific recommendations Oversee client engagements from scoping through delivery, ensuring rigorous, timely, and responsive work product Drive client retention and business development by deepening relationships, expanding engagements, participating in prospect meetings, and contributing to proposals Mentor junior professionals, promote knowledge sharing, and contribute to Aksia’s private equity practices, tools, and thought leadership Lead cross-functional initiatives across investments, data, legal and compliance, and client operation Qualifications: 12+ years of investment experience, ideally with an institutional investor, OCIO, consultant, asset manager, or advisory firm Demonstrated experience with private equity asset allocation, portfolio construction, pacing, liquidity, and investment selection Ability to lead client engagements and small teams, manage complex workstreams, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines Strong executive presence and relationship-management skills, with credibility among investment committees, boards, CIOs, and other senior decision-makers Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to turn complex investment concepts into clear, actionable recommendations Commercial orientation and experience supporting business development, cultivating prospects, contributing to proposals, and expanding client relationships Strong cross-functional leadership, project-management skills, judgment, intellectual curiosity, and collaborative approach Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree, CFA designation, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred Willingness to travel periodically for client meetings, team collaboration, and industry events The estimated base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Aksia provides a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. What they require
