What you'll do

  • Provide support for local Cloud, Data Centre, and network infrastructure for the US region.
  • Work as part of a distributed global infrastructure operations team to maintain availability and support of hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide escalation support to the Group IT Service Desk.
  • Ensure all changes to production services are subject to change control.
  • Produce and update documentation to improve efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis following unplanned disruptions to improve system availability.
  • Conduct Problem Management of repeat incidents affecting business services.
  • Use incident management systems to identify incident trends and gather relevant information to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Develop strong relationships with Business Units and respond to their IT requirements.
  • Support business units in their use of IT systems and provide updates to users on outstanding issues.
  • Maintain up to date records on Group and Company systems.
  • Interpret instructions and implement actions according to policies and procedures.

What they require

  • Extensive experience working as a cloud/infrastructure engineer or in similar IT roles.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and M365.
  • Extensive experience with multi-site and multi-forest Active Directory environments, Group Policy and DNS.
  • Extensive experience with patch management, mobile device management and monitoring systems.
  • Extensive experience with Windows desktop troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience with cloud, server, desktop, network and telephony providers.
  • Extensive experience working with datacenters.
  • Good knowledge of networking - Layer2/3, dynamic routing, MPLS and firewall management.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft server technologies (Windows 2022, 2019, 2016, 2012).
  • Good knowledge of DHCP & Group Policy and SCCM/patching.
  • Good knowledge of Nutanix/VMware/Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Office 365 / CoreView.
  • Experience scripting (for example PowerShell).
  • Experience with Anti-Virus technologies such as Tanium/CrowdStrike.
  • Knowledge of identity management solutions such as EntraID.
  • Knowledge of proxy services such as Netskope.
  • Experience with PKI and certificate lifecycle management solutions.
  • Administered and supported Imperva security solutions including WAF.
  • Demonstrate examples of similar successful positions in the past.
  • Highly collaborative with team, management and business leaders.
  • High level of customer service and empathy to customer issues.
  • Worked in the insurance or financial services sector previously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; Spanish highly desirable.
