Who We Are
Emergence is a thematic holding company backed by the Pritzker Organization focused exclusively on acquiring and scaling category-defining software businesses. We invest in focused portfolios and specialized operating groups with deep domain expertise. We combine operational rigor with a growth equity mindset, driving sustainable ARR growth and industry-leading customer outcomes.
The Mission
Own end-to-end ERP implementations and financial integrations for portfolio companies during M&A and scaling phases.
What You'll Do
- Lead 3-5 concurrent ERP implementations across Intacct, Xero, and QuickBooks from requirements through cutover delivery.
- Design chart of accounts architecture and multi-entity consolidation structures that scale with company growth.
- Execute data migrations with zero material reconciliation exceptions and audit-ready documentation.
- Build and oversee API and middleware integrations between ERP and ancillary systems like Bill.com, Ramp, and Brex.
- Reduce month-end close cycle time by 20-30% through workflow automation and process redesign.
- Create SOP documentation and training materials that enable finance teams to operate independently post-implementation.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
- 5+ years hands-on experience with at least two of: Intacct, Xero, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Online.
- Expertise in chart of accounts design, multi-entity accounting, intercompany eliminations, and statutory consolidations.
- Track record executing 3+ full-cycle ERP implementations or migrations with measurable, documented outcomes.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, COSO internal controls frameworks, and financial reporting process configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to design and oversee API integrations or middleware solutions, not just conceptual knowledge.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and collaborating remotely across time zones asynchronously.
Nice-to-haves
- CA, CPA, or CMA certification or equivalent semi-qualified CA with 3+ years relevant experience.
- Technical depth in SQL, REST APIs, or middleware platforms to enable faster integrations.
- Experience supporting financial audits post-ERP implementation and structuring systems for auditability.
Who you are
You've led multiple ERP implementations from discovery through go-live. You spot gaps in requirements early, propose solutions unprompted, and document decisions thoroughly. You acknowledge when initial approaches need rework and explain what you learned. You test edge cases in data migrations that weren't explicitly required. You push back on timelines when you believe scope isn't feasible without degrading financial controls. You mentor junior team members on stakeholder management and change resistance. You operate independently across time zones and communicate risks in writing with specific mitigation proposals before they impact delivery.
What We Offer
- $35,000 per annum
- Remote work from India
- Opportunity to drive financial system strategy across a portfolio of growing software businesses
- Direct exposure to PE-backed scaling, M&A integration, and operational excellence frameworks
