A well-backed early-stage company is building secure, compliant stablecoin payment infrastructure for modern financial institutions. This is not a traditional corporate security position. The successful candidate will become one of the company’s first dedicated security hires—designing the security posture from the ground up and building controls that help engineers move faster.
📋 Responsibilities include:
- Build lean security processes directly into engineering workflows
- Lead SOC 2 Type II control design, implementation and ongoing attestation
- Build real-time monitoring across APIs, gateways, WebSockets and transaction infrastructure
- Secure Cloudflare, serverless, edge and cloud-native environments
- Embed automated security controls into CI/CD and the Secure SDLC
- Threat-model new products, APIs and transaction flows before production
- Detect malicious activity across smart contracts, indexers and solver networks
- Support Chainalysis, TRM and sanctions-screening integrations
- Establish foundations for ISO 27001, DORA and MAS TRM
🔑 Requirements:
- Senior/Staff Security Engineer, Product Security Engineer, DevSecOps Engineer or hands-on Security Lead
- Personally delivered or maintained a SOC 2 Type II attestation
- Strong production engineering in Rust, Go or C++, plus Python/Bash
- AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, serverless and infrastructure-as-code experience
- Hands-on CI/CD, application security, monitoring and detection engineering
- Blockchain, stablecoin, crypto, payments or digital-asset literacy
- Comfortable being the person who builds—not someone who only writes policies or manages vendors
🛠 Nice-to-have:
- Cloudflare Workers or Durable Objects
- High-throughput API/WebSocket security
- Smart-contract or on-chain monitoring
- Chainalysis/TRM integrations
- Wallet, custody or key-management security
- Previous first/founding security hire experience
