What you'll do

  • Help define how ZoomInfo's Forward Deployed Engineering function operates — how engagements run, what the deliverables are, how the playbook works, what scales and what doesn't.
  • Embed directly with ZoomInfo's strategic accounts to understand their go-to-market challenges.
  • Help design and deliver bespoke intelligence applications that combine ZoomInfo's third-party data with the customer's first-party data to drive real business outcomes.
  • Own engagements end-to-end: from discovery through deployment, from stakeholder presentations through production code.
  • Work closely with data and product teams and alongside more senior FDEs on larger accounts.
  • Assemble ZoomInfo data into purpose-built applications tailored to each customer's specific personas and workflows.
  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact for assigned strategic accounts.
  • Run discovery sessions with data engineers, sales operations leaders, and revenue stakeholders.
  • Help diagnose the customer's underlying problem.
  • Scope the use case, design the solution, build the application, deploy it in the customer's environment, and stay accountable for the outcome.
  • Bridge technical and business audiences.
  • Sit with the sales team.
  • Present to customer stakeholders.
  • Synthesize complex go-to-market data needs into clear, actionable proposals and deliver the solution.
  • Whiteboard matching architecture with data engineering teams and walk sales operations directors through disposition codes.
  • Develop the ability to present ROI and strategy to executive audiences.
  • Document discovery frameworks, engagement phases, integration patterns, deliverable templates, and success metrics.
  • Help extract repeatable patterns from each new account and feed them into a scalable model.
  • Feed field learnings back to product, engineering, and data teams to inform product direction and dataset priorities.
  • Help identify expansion opportunities as they emerge — new use cases, new personas, new datasets, displacement opportunities against incumbent providers.
  • Work with your manager and more senior FDEs to diagnose which capabilities the customer needs, scope the work, and deliver.
  • Take on increasing ownership of customer diagnosis as you build track record.

What they require

  • High ownership and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Take ownership of workstreams, make judgment calls with incomplete information, and operate effectively where process doesn't yet exist.
  • Strong software and data engineering fundamentals.
  • Write production-quality code.
  • Proficient in Python and SQL.
  • Comfortable working in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar).
  • Built or substantially worked with data pipelines, entity matching or deduplication logic, API integrations, and applications that real users depend on daily.
  • Work fluently in LLM-based development environments like Claude Code or Codex.
  • Worked directly with customers in a technical capacity — solutions engineering, consulting, technical account management, or a previous FDE-style role.
  • Able to synthesize complex data needs for a business audience and discuss matching architecture with a data engineering team.
  • Comfortable navigating enterprise environments with competing stakeholders — sales operations, IT, marketing ops, finance, and revenue leadership.
  • Preferred: Experience working with B2B data, CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot), enrichment and orchestration tooling (RingLead, Clearbit, Demandbase), or similar go-to-market infrastructure.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with concepts like firmographic enrichment, entity resolution, hierarchy management, TAM modeling, intent data, and account-based prospecting.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits.
  • Holistic mind, body and lifestyle programs designed for overall well-being.
  • Additional compensation such as Bonus, Commission, Equity and other benefits may also apply.
  • Enterprise customer access.
  • Best-in-class data and infrastructure.
