What you'll do

  • Taking ownership of the most complex FinCrime Business Banking tasks, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) for high-risk businesses, Complex Customer Reviews and multi-jurisdictional money muling investigations.
  • Writing, reviewing, and submitting high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the National Crime Agency (NCA).
  • Maintaining a regular schedule on core investigative tasks to sustain competency levels and support the domain’s SLAs.
  • Coaching Investigators on complex financial crime typologies, best practice, and performance improvement.
  • Working closely with Operations Analysts to share emerging trends and ensure operational guidance is updated and embedded.

What they require

  • Deep KYB & AML expertise, with significant experience conducting end-to-end business due diligence (KYB/EDD) and complex investigations within a regulated financial setting.
  • Skilled researcher with proven ability to leverage open-source intelligence and analysis to corroborate customer profiles and transactional activity.
  • Strong grasp of UK and international financial crime trends affecting business accounts and knowledge of the UK SAR regime.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to shifting priorities, new guidance, and process changes at short notice.
  • Impact-driven with a genuine desire to protect customers by detecting and preventing financial crime.
  • Preferred: experience mentoring peers, a track record of escalating process improvements, or a relevant qualification (such as ICA or ACAMS).
