Senior federal business development executive with significant U.S. Air Force market experience and existing Air Force customer/partner relationships. Must originate and shape federal opportunities, understand Air Force missions/acquisition, and sell federal technology services such as DevSecOps, cloud, AI/ML, software engineering, cybersecurity, or data solutions. Remote U.S. role with up to 40% travel and possible future U.S. government security clearance requirement.

What you'll do

  • Build relationships with Air Force customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify mission needs and develop qualified business opportunities.
  • Create and advance a focused Air Force pipeline.
  • Open new accounts and strengthen Rackner’s market access.
  • Connect customer challenges with relevant technology and services.
  • Develop teaming approaches with primes, small businesses, and technology partners.
  • Work with internal teams as opportunities move through capture, proposal, and award.
  • Represent Rackner at customer meetings, partner discussions, conferences, and industry events.
  • Lead front-end business development and remain engaged as opportunities progress.
  • Help shape where Rackner competes next as the business development team grows.
  • Expand Rackner’s Air Force relationships.
  • Develop qualified opportunities.
  • Help Rackner compete in areas where it can deliver meaningful results.

What they require

  • Significant business development experience in the U.S. Air Force market.
  • Demonstrated record of originating, shaping, and helping close new federal business.
  • Meaningful ownership or contribution toward federal contract awards of $10 million or more in total contract value.
  • Current, relevant relationships across Air Force customer and partner communities.
  • Strong understanding of Air Force missions and acquisition environments.
  • Experience selling federal technology services such as DevSecOps, cloud modernization, AI/ML, software engineering, cybersecurity, or data solutions.
  • Independence, judgment, and follow-through to succeed in a growing organization.
  • Relevant Air Force knowledge from military, federal civilian, acquisition, operational, technical, or industry experience.
  • Ability to understand technical capabilities, ask informed questions, and involve the right subject-matter experts.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance may be required for future work.
  • Up to 40% travel.
