What you'll do

  • Serve as head of Finance & Operations in Canada and Country CFO reporting to VP & GM Canada and dotted line to CFO
  • Develop and manage all financial functions for the Canadian Affiliate including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, payroll, procurement, and internal controls
  • Collaborate with US-based global accounting and tax teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance for Canadian and JPAC legal entities
  • Ensure alignment on accounting treatment for Canada contracts and revenue recognition
  • Develop and manage Canadian financial strategies and lead budgeting/Long Range Plan activities
  • Develop and manage P&Ls for Canada and support potential JPAC expansion
  • Oversee analysis of financial and operational results and investigate significant P&L variances
  • Support commercial teams with financial business planning, market access and pricing plans for Canada
  • Lead financial audits for Canada and establish internal control framework
  • Support setup of Canada commercial distribution channel and order-to-cash activities (3PL)
  • Provide local operational support for international distribution, trade, supply chain, logistics, and inventory control
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics providers
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support supply chain activities until dedicated discipline is established
  • Manage local procurement and vendor management activities and payroll-related functions
  • Lead and coordinate Canada finance-related staff functions during initial expansion phase
  • Contribute to pre-launch and launch strategic and operational plans to enable product launches in Canada

What they require

  • Financial education required
  • MBA/CPA/CA/CFA is preferred
  • 10+ Years of finance experience in a public global biopharmaceutical company required
  • Experience as a head of finance for a Canada affiliate is necessary
  • Experience with supply chain management and logistics in local and global contexts
  • Prior experience dealing with a 3PL and building/selecting/negotiating models is preferred
  • Strong financial analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to transition from strategic thinking to tactical execution
  • Project management skills coordinating cross-functional stakeholders
  • Leadership experience aligning and motivating teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
