Summary The Senior Demand Generation Manager, Startups owns and scales Deel’s demand generation programs for the global startup segment, beyond core Paid Social and Paid Search channels. Based in San Francisco with a global remit, this role is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing high-impact demand initiatives — including VC and accelerator partnerships and Deel for Startups — that drive qualified pipeline and revenue growth among startups worldwide. Reporting to senior marketing leadership, this role operates with a high degree of autonomy and partners closely with Growth, Content, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and regional Marketing teams. The Senior Demand Generation Manager, Startups is accountable for demand performance, ROI, and the continuous evolution of scalable demand generation practices. Responsibilities Own and scale demand generation efforts outside of Paid Social and Paid Search, including review sites, affiliates, lead buys, content syndication, and emerging channels, tuned to reach a startup and founder audience. Research, test, and operationalize new platforms, partners, and categories — including VC and accelerator partnerships and Deel for Startups — to expand Deel’s reach and diversify demand sources. Develop and execute inbound demand strategies to improve conversion rates and drive high-quality sales-qualified leads. Identify, evaluate, and test new sources of qualified demand, establishing clear ROI and attribution frameworks. Manage campaign budgets end-to-end, analyze historical performance, and report on impact across key demand metrics. Distribute and repurpose existing content strategically across channels to maximize engagement and pipeline contribution. Create and maintain repeatable processes, templates, playbooks, and best practices for scalable demand generation. Partner with Product Marketing and Growth teams to support product launches and integrated go-to-market initiatives. Collaborate closely with regional and local marketing managers to identify market-specific trends, opportunities, and optimizations across global startup hubs. Act as a subject-matter expert, educating cross-functional teams on demand gen best practices, performance insights, and growth strategies. Qualifications 6–9+ years of experience in demand generation or growth marketing roles (B2B SaaS preferred); experience marketing to startups or founders a plus. Strong command of demand and performance metrics, including CPL, CPC, CPSQO, ROAS, pipeline contribution, and conversion rates. Proven experience scaling non-core demand channels and driving measurable, repeatable growth. Familiarity with the startup ecosystem — VCs, accelerators, and founder communities — and how to build demand programs around it. Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and lead complex initiatives across multiple stakeholders. Highly collaborative, with experience partnering cross-functionally with Growth, Content, Design, Data Analytics, and Marketing Operations. What you'll do

- Own demand generation across non-paid channels: content syndication, partnerships, affiliates, review sites, lead buys, webinars, and emerging sources
- Use AI agents to generate and test campaign messaging; build automations to reduce manual work
- Research new platforms, establish ROI frameworks, and quickly kill underperformers
- Partner with Sales, Product Marketing, and regional teams to align strategy and drive conversions
- Track efficiency metrics (CPL, cost per SQO, pipeline ROI); automate reporting and optimize based on feedback loops

- Proven track record building campaigns that deliver pipeline and revenue at scale
- Advanced ability to forecast, analyze, and optimize funnel performance across channels (leads → SQOs → pipeline)
- Strong command of demand and performance metrics: CPL, cost per SQO, ROAS, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, pipeline ROI
- Creative and analytical mindset—you test, measure, optimize, and aren't afraid to kill what doesn't work
- Hands-on builder mentality: you can take an experiment from idea → build → launch → analyze → iterate, and ship fast without sacrificing quality
