What you'll do

  • Join the Data team to build and maintain analytic capabilities supporting Thyme Care’s mission
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and Growth and Operations teams to understand, ingest, and accurately model healthcare data for new and existing customers
  • Support updates and fixes throughout the customer relationship lifecycle
  • Develop novel attributes and flags from existing data to drive action on the Care Team
  • Build visualizations to report on the impact of data-driven actions
  • Gain a deep understanding of the data platform
  • Contribute to improving data models and pipelines using SQL and dbt
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and analysts to build scalable and sustainable data models and pipelines
  • Transform incoming eligibility, claims, prior auth, and ADT data to fit standard data models
  • Identify data quality issues or proposed standard data model enhancements as needed
  • Translate business requirements into technical plans for data models, pipelines, and analytics
  • Build relationships with data teams at risk-bearing entities such as insurers, ACOs, and PCPs
  • Demonstrate Thyme Care’s expertise in building data and analytics products
  • Ensure internal customers have fast, accurate, and reliable access to data
  • Support internal customer decision-making and operations with high-quality data pipelines

What they require

  • Expertise in working with large healthcare datasets, including eligibility, medical or pharmacy claims, prior auth, and ADT
  • Experience working in a healthcare-focused technology startup with mature data structures and pipelines is ideal
  • Experience designing data models to support both operations and analytics
  • Experience building data transformations in SQL
  • Ability to develop scalable solutions that are easily learned and reused by internal customers
  • Experience with, or willingness to quickly learn, dbt and Looker

  • Proficiency in data modeling, transformation, and claims analytics
  • Preferred: Familiarity with dbt
  • Willingness to learn dbt quickly
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Python
  • Preferred: Experience with Looker or similar BI tools for data analysis and visualization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues and stakeholders
  • Successful track record working at scaling organizations, in fast-paced environments, and at ambitious startups
  • Ability to navigate challenges and find solutions in uncertain situations
