As a Senior Data Platform Engineer team at SentiLink, you will own the data infrastructure components that support the SentiLink suite of products. You will work with product, engineering, and data science teams to build, enhance and modify data platform that powers our fraud detection products. This is a remote, US-based role.

What you'll do

  • Build, expand, and optimize data infrastructure in order to create the most accurate dataset of identities and their relationships
  • Develop and operate secure, scalable, and reliable data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirements (Kafka, ECS, Terraform, Jenkins)
  • Design and maintain a data observability framework to ensure data quality and freshness
  • Optimize datastores and build/maintain interfaces for scalable and fast data access
  • Collaborate with product teams for data platform needs
  • Participate in call rotation for production issues
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to evolving engineering best practices
  • Drive innovation via hackathons and proof of concepts
  • Develop subject matter expertise in identity fraud domain

What they require

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or related field
  • Proficient in python or golang and related technologies and frameworks
  • Expertise in building/maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale with distributed data processing technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Kafka
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Deep understanding of RDBMS, NoSQL, columnar data stores, efficient queries, and optimization
  • Experience building containerized data services on Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and devops practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and a sense of humor
  • Self-organized and ability to work independently and with ambiguity
  • Experience in Scrum / Agile development
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US and live in the US
