What you'll do

  • Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development
  • Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions
  • Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models
  • Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
  • Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.

What they require

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost estimating professional, preferably in a consulting environment
  • Experience in conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, change order review and reconciliation, value engineering, and cost analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and analyze construction documents at all stages of design
  • Ability and willingness to travel periodically as required
  • Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and obtain HSPD-12 Federal Contractor clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred
