What you'll do

  • Serve as a team member on customer projects focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation (research, benchmarking, performance and functional testing, reference architectures, sizing, migration, integration, development, and tooling).
  • Provide case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects, assisting with implementation, onboarding, production launches, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on tasks.
  • Handle L1 to L3 support cases and communications when not assigned to customer projects.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to contribute to the product roadmap and account plans.
  • Develop and assist with content including Public and Internal Documentation, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning, Reference Architecture, blogs, and benchmark results.
  • Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members.
  • Be available for scheduling and on-call needs to deliver 24x7 support; travel regionally up to ~35%.

What they require

  • 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed database management systems (DBMS).
  • Technical breadth and depth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, System or Network Administration, and big data.
  • Experience leading and shipping large scope technical projects in collaboration with multiple experienced engineers.
  • Expertise with a public cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their infrastructure as a service offering (e.g. EC2).
