What you'll do

  • Preparing site civil engineering plans for commercial, industrial, utility, and infrastructure development projects.
  • Site layout, grading design, utility coordination, access and circulation planning, erosion control measures, and preparation of permit and construction documents.
  • Working closely with clients, permitting agencies, stormwater designers, and utility providers to develop fully coordinated plans that meet regulatory requirements and progress from entitlement and permitting through Issued-for-Construction (IFC) plan development and construction support.
  • Serving as a senior technical resource and technical advisor for the team.
  • Providing specialized technical input to studies and design for specific areas of expertise.
  • Developing study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
  • Developing construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
  • Using expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
  • Performing quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
  • Preparing technical specification sections.
  • Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
  • Leading and mentoring junior engineers and technicians in complex civil engineering projects.
  • Collaborating with project managers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Conducting site visits and field investigations to assess project feasibility and environmental impact.
  • Developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
  • Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in all project phases.
  • Representing the company in client meetings and professional conferences to present technical findings and project updates.
