HubSpot's Legal team is extremely technology-forward. Attorneys who believe that AI and great systems can transform how legal work gets done. Our Legal Technology team exists at the center of that bet: we build the AI agents, manage the systems and integrate their operational infrastructure which lets our lawyers focus on high-value legal work instead of manual process.
This isn't a "keep the lights on" role. You'll implement AI-powered solutions, design agentic workflows, implement and own SaaS solutions heavy with AI and sit alongside AI-minded legal stakeholders. If you want to do work that matters, is visible, and drives value for in-house Legal teams with AI, this is it.
What You'll Do
- Lead AI solution design and delivery: build, configure, and deploy AI agents and agentic workflows using tools like Claude, Cowork, ChatGPT, and Glean within and across legal applications. This is real implementation work, not exploration.
- Own the legal tech ecosystem as part of our team: serve as one of the technical SMEs across Legal SaaS applications (CLMs, Matter Management, DSAR tooling and more), driving reliability, optimization, and integration quality.
- Build integrations: design and develop workflow automations and integrations using Workato and similar iPaaS platforms, connecting legal systems to the broader HubSpot stack.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions: partner directly with attorneys and legal leadership to understand workflows, surface opportunities, and deliver solutions with measurable impact.
- Drive AI adoption: work alongside the legal team to identify opportunities to embed AI tools (Claude, Glean, Harvey, Workato AI, and others) into day-to-day legal workflows, and support enablement so adoption actually sticks.
- Shape the roadmap: contribute to a technically feasible product roadmap, balancing strategic priorities with iterative delivery.
- Track and communicate value: develop KPIs and reporting to demonstrate the business impact of technology investments to senior legal leadership, including the CLO.
- Stay ahead of the curve: monitor the rapidly evolving legal tech landscape and bring forward-looking perspective on tools, capabilities, and trends.
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on technical skills: SaaS application configuration, API usage, system integration design, and workflow automation
- Real experience building and deploying AI solutions in enterprise environments: AI agents, agentic workflows, LLM-powered tools, or similar
- Experience with iPaaS platforms for building integrations and automations
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a technical consultant to a non-technical business audience: learn and understand business context, problem solve, and translate ambiguous needs into scoped, deliverable solutions
- Self-directed, highly organized, and able to manage multiple workstreams with autonomy
- Clear communicator, equally comfortable in a Slack thread with a lawyer and a design doc with an engineer
Nice to Have
- Experience working in or with legal departments: in-house legal teams, law firms, or legal tech vendors
- Familiarity with legal technology applications: CLM systems, matter management, or legal service management platforms
- Experience with enterprise AI tools in a professional context (Claude, Glean, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar)
