What you'll do

  • Develop strategic marketing plans considering agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions.
  • Identify and secure profitable new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key agencies by providing tailored insurance solutions.
  • Educate agencies on product features, market placement, and effective selling techniques.
  • Drive revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Develop and execute cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a related role.
  • Certifications such as AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, or ARM (or in progress).
  • Strong understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends.
  • Compliance with insurance laws and regulations.
  • Frequent travel (60%-80%) within Illinois.
