We are looking for a Senior Automation Tester in JS to join an Agile product team supporting customer-facing web applications and APIs. The role combines automation development, functional testing, and collaboration with developers to help ensure high-quality releases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated tests for web applications and APIs
- Enhance and support existing automation frameworks and test utilities
- Create automated test coverage for new features and regression scenarios
- Execute functional and regression testing as part of the release process
- Investigate test failures and defects, and work closely with developers to identify root causes
- Review requirements and contribute to test planning and test case design
- Support integrations between automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and test management tools
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional team members
- Share automation knowledge and best practices within the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in test automation for web applications
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and test automation design patterns
- Experience with Node.js and modern automation frameworks such as WebDriverIO or Selenium
- Skills in API testing and automation using Postman or similar tools
- Understanding of software testing principles, test design, and defect management
- Experience using Git-based source control systems
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Familiarity with test management tools such as qTest or TestRail
- Experience with cloud-based test execution platforms such as LambdaTest
- Experience testing authentication and authorization APIs
- Experience working in Agile teams
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience integrating automation frameworks with test management tools
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS SQS or similar technologies
- Experience testing or automating real-time applications using WebSockets
- Skills in Bash scripting
- Experience with SAP-based web applications, mobile automation, or AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
