What you'll do

  • Perform advanced configuration and customization of existing Teamcenter modules including Foundation, Change Management, NX Integration, MPP/Easy Plan, Active Integration, and Dispatchers.
  • Collaborate directly with end-users and stakeholders to gather, refine, and document system requirements.
  • Follow, support, and enhance existing Archer Teamcenter code management process using Bitbucket, Git, Jira, and TeamCity.
  • Guide technical activities of additional team members, such as offshore developers or junior PLM/CAD team members.
  • Support non-configuration tasks such as data migrations, Teamcenter and NX upgrades, AI integration, and SOA layer usage.
  • Contribute to performance tuning, scalability, security, and system monitoring efforts when required.
  • Work with technical project managers to plan, estimate, and break down projects into measurable and manageable work sprints.
  • Lead periodic architecture reviews, performance audits, and PLM health checks.
  • Drive innovation in PLM by exploring scalable digital thread solutions, cloud or hybrid PLM deployment, and integration of MBSE and simulation data.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience working with Siemens Teamcenter or equivalent PLM system in an aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success designing and implementing PLM architectures, data models, interfaces, and integrations.
  • Hands-on programming/configuration experience with BMIDE, ITK, Workflow Manager, SOAP/REST APIs, Active Workspace customization, and scripting such as Java, C#, or Python.
  • Strong experience integrating PLM with CAD/CAE, ERP, MES, digital simulation/analysis systems, and supplier portals.
  • Solid understanding of configuration management, variant/derivative management, digital thread, and product lifecycle processes.
  • Familiarity with the US aerospace regulatory environment such as AS9100, FAA, EASA, Part 145, and MRO, and ability to support traceability and audit readiness.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with competing priorities and occasional ambiguity.
  • Willingness to drive change, challenge the status quo, and lead architectural decisions.
  • Remote is possible, but the role requires occasional travel for on-site work at Archer Aviation headquarters in San Jose, CA.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA in relevant discipline.
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud-based Amazon Web Service PLM architecture.
  • Preferred: Prior experience in eVTOL, aerospace manufacturing, or mobility industry.
  • Preferred: Experience mentoring or leading PLM/IT technical teams.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD practices applied to PLM deployments, containerization, and microservices.
