What you'll do

  • Drive strategic growth across enterprise customers.
  • Operate at the intersection of data, AI, and enterprise transformation, engaging senior stakeholders and leading complex, high-value opportunities.
  • Utilize AI through every aspect of sales activity from pipeline build to sales execution excellence.
  • Identify and bring to closure direct sales engagements, upgrade and expand existing accounts, and work closely with regional partners.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy that maximizes opportunities for Precisely products and services.
  • Own and drive Data Integrity Suite ARR growth within a target set of existing Precisely customers.
  • Self-source a meaningful share of your own pipeline rather than relying solely on BDR or marketing-generated leads.
  • Drive successful sales campaigns within net new logo accounts from marketing and BDR qualified leads.
  • Run competitive displacement deals against incumbent data platforms, often starting from a position of little or no existing relationship.
  • Lead C-level and VP-level conversations independently, without an SE or manager in the room, from first meeting through close.
  • Challenge customer thinking directly when their stated requirements don't match their actual business problem — and hold that position under pushback.
  • Qualify out of poor-fit opportunities early rather than forcing deals that will struggle to close and subsequently renew and expand.
  • Stay engaged enough to protect the relationship and identify expansion signals once a logo is won.

What they require

  • 7+ years of closing experience in enterprise software sales, ideally with exposure to data infrastructure, analytics, or data management platforms.
  • Demonstrated success selling into complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise buying committees ($100K+ ACV deals).
  • Familiarity with modern data ecosystem competitors and adjacent players (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and how to position against or alongside them.
  • Formal sales methodology training (MEDDIC, Challenger, Command of the Message, or equivalent) with evidence of applying it, not just completing it.
  • Hunter attributes (primary emphasis).
  • Track record where the majority of quota has come from net new business growth rather than renewals or simple upsell opportunities.
  • Enterprise software sales track record.
  • Demonstrable history of self-generated pipeline: can speak specifically to deals they personally created, not just deals they closed.
  • Experience displacing incumbent vendors in competitive, entrenched accounts — comfortable being the challenger, not just the presenter.
  • A direct, opinionated selling style: someone who will tell a customer an uncomfortable truth about their environment rather than agree to keep the deal moving.
  • Genuine energy for the first 0-to-1 phase of a deal — prospecting, cold outreach, and creating urgency where none existed.
  • Farmer attributes (present, secondary).
  • Able to run a structured account plan and identify expansion opportunity within existing customers.
  • Comfortable partnering with customer success to ensure a smooth post-sale transition.
  • Track record of low churn / high retention on the accounts they've personally closed, even if they weren't the one managing renewal.
  • The 'strong personality, high trust' balance.
  • Confident and assertive in the room, but demonstrates humility — able to say "I was wrong" or "let me find that out" in front of a customer without losing authority.
  • Pursues opportunities relentlessly without being pushy: knows the difference between persistence and pressure, and customers can tell.
  • Builds trust through candour and expertise rather than likeability alone — customers should come away thinking "I trust their judgment," not just "I like them."
  • References and past managers describe them as someone customers wanted to keep talking to, even in tense moments (e.g., pricing pushback, implementation issues, competitive threats).
  • All employees are expected to demonstrate proficiency in applying AI tools to accelerate their work, improve output quality, and eliminate low-value tasks.
  • Candidates should be comfortable using generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) in their day-to-day workflows, able to evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, and open to continuously adopting new AI capabilities as they emerge.

Benefits

  • Work at the forefront of data integrity and AI.
  • Engage with leading enterprise organisations.
  • Be part of a high-performing sales team.
  • Shape strategic, high-value deals.
  • Opportunities for growth, learning and building community.
  • "work from anywhere" culture.
  • Celebrate diversity in a distributed environment with a presence in 30 countries as well as 20 offices in over 5 continents.
