What you'll do

  • Processing Efficiency You masterfully move loans through their various stages, including application submission, approval, processing and closing.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the BDO, the Underwriter, the borrower, and the Small Business Administration (SBA) for collateral review and loan documentation.
  • You manage the loan application pipelines and work with the Lender Service Provider (LSP) to ensure timely closings and coordinate with Loan Operations for funding.
  • Act as the primary facilitator of loan closings, manage all due diligence, follow up and communicate proactively with stakeholders.
  • SBA Knowledge You consistently stay abreast of all SOP changes.
  • You leverage your extensive SBA knowledge to review loans for SBA eligibility.
  • You ensure all loan files are properly documented, meet SBA and bank standards and are properly entered into ETRAN for approval.
  • Customer Centric Mindset You build strong relationships with borrowers or internal stakeholders.
  • You approach each interaction with a service first mindset and never compromise on exceptional borrower interactions.
  • You address all questions, concerns and issues promptly and through a consultative lens.

  • Stay informed of applicable regulatory requirements and complete all mandatory compliance and IT training.

  • Question suspicious activity and collaborate closely with the respective department(s) to help prevent fraudulent activity.

  • 3-5 years of dedicated SBA experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other business-related fields highly desired
