What you'll do

  • Create and implement effective direct sales strategies
  • Forecast, report, and keep sales cases updated in the CRM
  • Drive issues to achieve Fastems’ sales objectives
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects and be available and responsive to customers’ needs
  • Report market needs to product lines and management
  • Manage to meet/exceed monthly, trimester, and annual sales targets to increase profitable sales and build long-term relationships with customers
  • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Meet regularly with existing customers, partners, and new prospects in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs and position Fastems’ offering to meet surfaced needs
  • Execute negotiations with customers and partners to close contracts
  • Continuously expand customer understanding and use of Fastems’ offerings and capabilities

What they require

  • Hungry for business, growth, and success both personally and for Fastems
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a demanding automation solution or system sales business
  • Technical know-how: experience in sales in the manufacturing automation industry and processes and/or technology/metal industry and/or machine tool building and/or robotics industry
  • Specific knowledge of ERP, scheduling, automation, tool management, and program management in a manufacturing environment
  • A 4-year or master’s degree from an accredited university is preferred but not required
  • Positive and business-oriented “can do” attitude
  • Willingness to set challenging targets and achieve them
  • Has the ability to cooperate, drive negotiations, and close orders
  • Successfully thrive under high pressure situations while maintaining flexibility, precision, and thoroughness
  • Knowledgeable about the manufacturing automation business, processes, and best practices required
