What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and improve antifraud strategies, rules, and decision-making processes across the lending lifecycle.
  • Investigate fraud cases to identify organized fraud schemes, emerging patterns, and new attack vectors.
  • Analyze large volumes of transactional, behavioral, device and customer graph data to uncover fraud signals and generate actionable insights.
  • Evaluate external data sources, implement external products to the strategy based on Cost-Benefit analyses
  • Develop, validate, and optimize fraud detection rules
  • Use ML models in fraud detection, develop as an advantage.
  • Monitor fraud performance metrics, identify weaknesses in existing controls, and propose improvements.
  • Partner with Product, Risk Technology, Risk Portfolio, KYC, and Data Engineering teams to implement fraud prevention solutions while maintaining a seamless customer experience.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses and root cause investigations to continuously strengthen fraud defenses.
  • Prepare analytical reports and present recommendations to stakeholders.

What they require

  • 3+ years of experience in Fraud Analytics, Antifraud, Risk Analytics, or related analytical roles.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, lending, microfinance, payments, or gaming industries.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of fraud patterns, fraud detection techniques, and behavioral analytics.
  • Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to investigate complex fraud scenarios.
  • Knowledge of mathematical statistics and probability theory.
  • B1 or higher English level for effective communication with an international team.
  • Preferred: Experience launching or scaling fraud prevention functions in new markets or products.
  • Preferred: Experience working with machine learning models for fraud detection.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of portfolio risk analytics.
  • Preferred: Experience working with real-time fraud detection systems and decision engines.
  • Preferred: Spanish language proficiency.
