What you'll do

  • Ensure Resource Plans are complete, accurate, approved, and staffing-ready before transitioning to the Resource Management team.
  • Serve as the governance point between Sales, Delivery, Practice Leadership, and Resource Management.
  • Ensure opportunities have validated resource requirements, aligned forecasts, and required approvals before staffing begins.
  • Improve Resource Plan quality and pipeline readiness.
  • Enable the Senior Resource Manager to focus on staffing strategy, resource allocation, and deployment.
  • Own the Resource Plan (RP) review, validation, and approval process prior to staffing.
  • Validate proposed roles, skills, staffing assumptions, and effort estimates for completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure all required Practice Leader approvals are obtained, including multi-cloud or cross-practice Resource Plans.
  • Confirm Resource Plans remain synchronized with Salesforce forecasts, estimators, and opportunity updates.
  • Identify scope changes or forecast misalignment and coordinate updates before opportunities reach Commit or Closed Won.
  • Review opportunities for staffing readiness and ensure resource requirements accurately reflect delivery scope.
  • Challenge unclear, uncommon, or inconsistent role requests by partnering with Sales Engineering, Account Executives, Delivery, and Practice Leadership to clarify staffing needs.
  • Identify specialty skill requirements, contractor demand, and upcoming capacity needs, providing Resource Management with early visibility.
  • Monitor pipeline health and proactively identify staffing risks before they impact delivery timelines.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Delivery, Practice Leadership, Operations, and Resource Management for Resource Plan readiness.
  • Meet regularly with Resource Management to review pipeline readiness, high-priority opportunities, staffing risks, and upcoming demand.
  • Partner with Operations to initiate consultant background checks or other pre-deployment requirements when applicable.
  • Support the Resource Management team throughout the staffing process by ensuring opportunity information remains accurate and current as deals progress.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in resource management, staffing, deployment, workforce planning, or professional services operations within a consulting or technology services organization.
  • Preferred: Experience working within the Salesforce ecosystem or another software and technology services environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the Salesforce platform and professional services delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of professional services resource planning, capacity management, and staffing processes.
  • Broad understanding of Salesforce consulting roles and technical skill sets to effectively validate project resource requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions and resolve inconsistencies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence Directors and senior leaders across Sales, Delivery, and Operations.
  • Comfortable operating in a growing organization where processes continue to evolve and improve.
  • For certain roles, travel is an exciting part of the job, with an anticipated travel commitment of up to 25%.
