What you'll do

  • Collaborate with a specialized team of health economists, statisticians and researchers on methodologically innovative projects for pharma and biotech clients.
  • Contribute to diverse projects including cost-effectiveness analyses and budget impact analyses to support HTA submissions and payer decisions, early economic analyses, treatment sequencing analyses, and generalised cost-effectiveness analyses incorporating novel elements of value.
  • Perform targeted literature reviews to identify and summarize model inputs and methodologies used in previous health technology assessments.
  • Identify considerations relevant to model development given available evidence.
  • Work with senior leads to conceptualize the design of cost-effectiveness models and budget impact models.
  • Program, parameterize, and validate economic models.
  • Conduct analyses, interpret findings, and communicate results.
  • Contribute to the development of client-ready study deliverables such as model protocols, economic models, slide decks, technical reports, and peer-reviewed publications under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Perform quality checks of your own work and that of others.
  • Prepare written documentation and present results using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Interpret and communicate study results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Assist with the delivery of components of projects by collaborating with other team members to ensure high quality outputs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project components by flagging changes to estimates of required hours.
  • Contribute to client management by preparing slides for client meetings under guidance from senior team members, drafting meeting minutes and summarizing action items.
  • Communicate with clients on calls and sometimes support senior team members in responding to client emails.

What they require

  • 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally consulting experience serving pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare clients, with a focus on HEOR.
  • Master’s degree in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or science.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
  • Willingness and desire to learn and share knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Highly developed analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a diverse team.
  • Background in HEOR, with a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and medical affairs.
  • Experience performing targeted literature reviews to identify and summarize model inputs and methodologies used in previous health technology assessments.
  • Experience programming, parameterizing, and validating economic models.
  • Strong skills in preparing written documentation and presenting results using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Preferred: PhD in a subject related to health services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or science.
  • Preferred: Track record of relevant peer-reviewed publications.
