What you'll do

  • Ensure comprehensive coverage across all areas of the China Semiconductor research agenda.
  • Ensuring the evolution of products and scoping of new products to reflect evolving technologies and market dynamics
  • Lead and coordinate extensive primary research through industry surveys, interviews, and field research
  • Oversee creation of high-quality research deliverables, including reports, topical analysis on emerging technologies and trends, custom research projects, and strategic consulting.
  • Manage a local team of 3 analysts, including performance management, goal setting, and career development
  • Ensure on-time and high-quality delivery by monitoring and managing research outputs and methodologies, coordinating research activities timelines and deliverable schedules, and ensuring cross-team and cross-Omdia collaboration
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives such as portfolio evolution, new service development, identifying market opportunities, and trends
  • Serve as lead analyst for key accounts while driving revenue growth through strategic client relationships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Collaborate with the product, sales and marketing teams to support go-to-market strategies and drive business growth
  • Lead market-specific consulting projects tailored to client requirements and strategic objectives
  • Serve as the face of our organization at key industry events, sparking engaging discussions and driving impactful conversations in the market.
  • Build and maintain position as a leading expert through regular publication of market insights and trend analysis, industry commentary, conference presentations, and panel participation

What they require

  • 6+ years of experience in the China semiconductor industry with demonstrated understanding of: China semiconductor trends and market dynamics, ecosystems, and supply chains
  • Deep understanding of China semiconductor supply chain from foundry to components to applications, with the ability to “connect the dots”
  • Experience in tracking emerging technologies such as advanced packaging and chiplets
  • Team leadership and management skills
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with expertise in research methodologies and data management.
  • Expert proficiency in Excel for data building, manipulation, and pivot table creation
  • Primary and secondary research coordination and execution
  • Database development capabilities for market analysis and forecasting
  • Research scoping abilities to identify new opportunities and evolve coverage
  • Strong leadership presence with proven ability to influence across organizational structures.
