What you'll do
- Routinely perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, and other technical issues associated with the use of Epic software.
- Responsible for design, build, testing, and maintaining Epic software solutions.
- Provide tier-2 support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required.
- Perform analysis to resolve application incidents, maintenance items, enhancement requests, upgrades / updates, and projects, collaborating with colleagues and across teams.
- Develop and maintain requirements / specifications and test cases for new or enhanced functionality to department applications.
- Ensure the test scripts have been created, reviewed, and updated to reflect workflow solutions.
- Modify Epic records, tables, and master files to support the application design, additions, and changes.
- Implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department policies and procedures.
- Actively participate and contribute in team and cross-team meetings and maintain appropriate meeting records.
- Have advanced understanding of supported application, integration, and general understanding of clinical/revenue cycle applications.
- Work independently 100% of the time.
- Promote teamwork within and with other teams.
- Support the training team by keeping trainers abreast of new functionality and system changes.
- Understand workflows, integration between application, downstream systems, and integrated workflows.
- Create new workflows with collaboration of SME.
- Create solutions that allow end users to be more productive and effective.
What they require
- Required Certificate: Epic Optime.
- Bachelor's degree plus 2 years' of IT or business experience.
- 2 years of Epic specific experience.
- 6 years' of additional experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Epic certified in supporting application plus additional proficiency/certification/badges in related application area.
- Hybrid: In office expected for individuals within 60 Miles of Albuquerque every Tues, Wed, Thurs.
- Remote: Open to remote applicants in the United States, except for the following states: California, Illinois, North Dakota, New York, Ohio, Washington and Wyoming.
