What you'll do

  • Work in a fully remote environment and virtually engage with company and team in daily work.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the full scope of QI measures, services, customers, and quality initiatives under commercial and governmental payers.
  • Conduct proactive patient outreach to identify and address quality gaps.
  • Educate patients on preventive care measures.
  • Schedule necessary screenings or appointments.
  • Facilitate adherence to treatment plans to improve health outcomes and close quality gaps.
  • Collect quality data using EMR, claims, and provider outreach.
  • Manage daily work using EMR systems, payer portals, vendor platforms, Guidehealth applications, Microsoft 365, and Teams.
  • Work with patient lists, gap lists, sourced health data, and medical records.
  • Use quality-related resources to ensure accuracy and completeness of measure and project instructions, NCQA/HEDIS specifications, coding documents, and quick reference guides.
  • Prioritize daily work to meet quality reporting deadlines and requirements.
  • Communicate quality performance, barriers, and improvement strategies internally and with customers.
  • Follow established policies and procedures for QI workflows.
  • Collaborate with customers, payers, and coworkers to accomplish daily work.
  • Participate in departmental and payer-sponsored webinars, trainings, and support calls throughout the year.
  • Communicate professionally and develop positive relationships with coworkers, customers, providers, and provider support staff.
  • Follow security policies and procedures to protect PHI, PII, and Guidehealth intellectual property.
  • Disclose any secondary employment.

What they require

  • Associate degree or greater in related field or certified/licensed professional such as CMA or LPN.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working, charting, or performing data abstraction via EMR systems.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, quality measures, and medical billing/coding.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Medicare Advantage Quality data abstraction and patient outreach.
  • Tech savvy in managing the technical side of the position, including working with health data, Excel and PowerPoint, and navigating multiple systems and applications.
  • Highly skilled in verbal and written communications.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Organized and able to meet hard deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work effectively with management, coworkers, and customers.
  • Preferred: Knowledge or experience in quality improvement initiatives and data submissions required by various health insurance payers.
  • Preferred: Extensive experience with quality database entries and reporting.
  • Preferred: Experience interpreting and reporting quality information and training staff.

  • Required internet speed is a minimum of 100 mbps download and 10 mbps upload.
