What you'll do

  • Commercial and people leadership across a defined sub-regional market cluster.
  • Drive revenue growth, market development, and customer engagement across multiple countries through both personal sales activities and the leadership of regional sales teams.
  • Translate the European commercial strategy into regional execution plans.
  • Align commercial activities across the assigned countries.
  • Actively contribute to regional business growth by developing strategic customer relationships, leading complex sales opportunities, and securing key commercial agreements.
  • Execute the regional sales strategy for PV Projects in alignment with European commercial objectives.
  • Deliver regional revenue, margin, and order intake targets across the assigned country cluster.
  • Personally develop, negotiate, and close strategic commercial opportunities with key customers across the region.
  • Maintain executive-level relationships with major EPCs, project developers, utilities, investors, and other strategic market participants.
  • Guide and support Sales Managers in developing strategic customer relationships and executing complex commercial opportunities.
  • Lead senior-level negotiations for major framework agreements, utility-scale projects, and strategic partnerships.
  • Ensure consistent pricing strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting discipline across markets.
  • Monitor market developments, regulatory frameworks, and competitor activities.
  • Identify growth opportunities and support expansion into new market segments.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Country Sales Managers and regional sales teams.
  • Establish clear sales objectives and performance expectations across markets.
  • Conduct performance reviews and leadership coaching for direct reports.
  • Support organizational development, succession planning, and capability building.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance regional sales culture.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Technical, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions to support complex regional business opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between country strategies and European commercial objectives.
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Directors and HQ teams on strategic initiatives and major opportunities.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales within the energy, solar, or related industries, including significant experience leading multi-country commercial activities and formal people leadership responsibilities
  • Extensive experience in utility-scale PV project sales within the German market and broader DACH region
  • Established network with EPCs, project developers, utilities, IPPs, investors, and other key stakeholders in the German renewable energy market
  • Demonstrated success in leading multi-country sales teams
  • Strong understanding of regional energy markets, regulatory frameworks, and customer segments
  • Strong regional commercial leadership and market development capability
  • Strong business development capability with a proven track record of personally winning strategic commercial opportunities
  • Proven people leadership in multi-country environments
  • Strong coaching, performance management, and talent development capabilities
  • Ability to align diverse markets under a common commercial strategy
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural leadership skills
  • Frequent travel within the assigned region
