Radiology operations role in the Radiology Command Center at Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. Bachelor's degree required, 0 years of experience needed. What you'll do

  • Handle outgoing communications (notifying clinicians of critical, urgent, and unexpected findings) and incoming communications (phone call requests from referring physicians for preliminary findings and verbal consults)
  • Monitor timely signing of reports, assist in monitoring turnaround times, assist in QA, and timely protocoling
  • Partner with outside facilities to facilitate and follow through on second-opinion read order requests
  • Support the research team with research clarification orders
  • Partner with Imaging Informatics to ensure effective IT infrastructure, including prompt reporting of application and network issues to IT
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., American College of Radiology)
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement; translate into reports and performance metrics
  • Conduct audits and collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and staff to resolve workflow or imaging issues
  • Serve as liaison between the Department of Radiology and other internal departments and external facilities
  • Monitor patient feedback to identify areas for service improvement
  • Monitor and notify radiologists of outstanding studies exceeding service level agreements; send reminders for overdue unsigned reports
  • Act as liaison for wet reads or STAT requests, ensuring completion within guidelines
  • Review reading room work lists and assure all studies are read promptly
