What you'll do

  • Execute high-level manual exploratory testing for new features while simultaneously building out automated test scripts for long-term stability
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies providing the 'QA voice' to keep the team focused on quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product managers to clarify acceptance criteria and testability
  • Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and usability issues
  • Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work closely with developers for timely resolution.
  • Investigate defects, help isolate root causes, and work with engineering teams to ensure resolution
  • Advocate for shift-left testing practices and continuous improvement in quality processes.

What they require

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation
  • Experience performing both manual and automated testing
  • Proficiency with automation tools such as Playwright or Selenium
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Expertise with at least one programming/scripting language
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies with a Shift-Left mindset.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Preferred: Experience with BDD (Gherkin, Cucumber)
  • Preferred: Familiarity with performance or integration testing
  • Preferred: Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail)
  • Preferred: Knowledge of API testing tools
