What you'll do

  • Review and analyze school district RFIs/RFPs/RFQs for requirements and deadlines.
  • Prepare complete proposals responses, ensuring accurate formatting, proofreading, and compliance with district guidelines.
  • Develop clear, concise RFP response language, customized to specific bids.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Sales Team to ensure stakeholder input.
  • Complete content sections for RFPs for submission in print, electronic formats, and online portals.
  • Create outlines, build templates, proofread, prepare review drafts and final editions, schedule meetings, and track the completion of assignments.
  • Attend district bid meetings, as necessary.

What they require

  • Superior writing skills with demonstrated proposal writing ability (writing sample required with submissions).
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a K-12 education proposal writing role is highly preferred.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent copy-editing skills.
  • Proficient at establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Capability to work in fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple, competing tasks and demands.
  • Ability to work in a positive and collaborative manner with fellow team members.
  • Professional, punctual, dependable, reliable, with a desire to learn.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software experience; Salesforce preferred.
  • Experience with RFP software, such as Loopio.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Adobe Acrobat or other editing software.
  • Preferred: Previous experience with K-12 Math content writing.
  • Preferred: Experience with online document submission.
  • Preferred: Solid organizational skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Preferred: Commitment to high standards.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, or equivalent business experience.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts, or Mathematics.
