What you'll do

  • Collaborate with regional and BL teams on identified priority pursuits, including pre-positioning, responses to requests for qualifications (RFQ) and requests for proposals (RFP), as well as shortlist interviews.
  • Lead large, complex, priority must-win pursuits from capture through to interview stage, which may include multiple disciplines/geographies.
  • Provide leadership and direction for proposals; develop schedules, templates, content plans, annotated outlines, initial drafts, compliance matrices, and production; lead writing and editing of tailored executive summaries, resumes, experience/past performance, management and other non-technical sections.
  • Facilitate color team reviews, quality reviews, and manage implementation of proposal and presentation revisions; conduct and analyze debriefs and apply lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with other Proposal team leads to allocate workload, drive cross-skilling/upskilling of junior and mid-level staff, and participate in strategic planning and capture activities.
  • Collaborate with regional and business line teams on RFQ/RFP responses, pre-positioning and shortlist interviews.
  • Lead large, complex federal must-win pursuits from capture through interview, including multi-discipline/geography efforts.
  • Manage proposal team performance, mentoring, cross-skilling and workload allocation across the Federal portfolio.
  • Develop and own proposal artifacts: schedules, templates, content plans, annotated outlines, drafts, compliance matrices, and production.
  • Facilitate and participate in Go/No-Go, capture planning, color team reviews (pink/red) and quality/compliance reviews; apply lessons learned.

What they require

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of people-management experience, with a demonstrated record of recruiting, developing, mentoring, and retaining talent.
  • Demonstrated interest in—and working knowledge of—the Architecture/Engineering (A/E) industry, with an emphasis on AECOM’s U.S. Federal clients, projects, teams, credentials, and competitors.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-discipline and/or multi-geography proposals with values greater than $20 million.
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and advanced capability with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field, plus 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of people-management experience with recruitment, development, mentoring and retention of talent.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required; this position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Architecture/Engineering (A/E) industry with emphasis on U.S. Federal clients, projects and competitors.
  • Proven success leading complex, multi-discipline and/or multi-geography proposals with values greater than $20 million.
  • Preferred: APMP and/or SMPS certification.
