What you'll do

  • Plan the project
  • Coordinate transitions from sales to services and eventually transition to customer success for long-term support
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Modify standard project plan to meet the requirements listed in the Statement of Work
  • Determine key project success factors for the project that will be evaluated upon completion
  • Staff the project
  • In consultation with the implementation managers, assign the appropriate resources to the project plan
  • Ensure all project team members understand the project scope and success factors
  • Provide direction and support to the project team
  • Implement the project
  • Use EPM tool to track project progress, monitor project plans, work hours and budgets
  • Execute the project according to the project plan
  • Facilitate weekly project status calls with the customer project manager
  • Provide clear communications with the customer regarding project expectations
  • Provide monthly status reports to all key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Develop relationships with hospital senior leadership team
  • Control the project
  • Manage project budget
  • Manage project resource allocation
  • Maintain project issue and risk log and create mitigation strategies when needed
  • Review, track and manage project change orders
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions
  • Monitor and trigger appropriate billing milestones per the signed agreement
  • Facilitate the project transition to account management and support once all project deliverables have been completed per the project plan
  • Evaluate the project
  • Prepare project completion documents and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained
  • Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Travel: up to 10% or as required

What they require

  • This is not a software development project manager; you will the driving force behind the successful deployment of our software in ambulatory and enterprise healthcare client environments.
  • The Implementation Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.
  • The Project Manager will be the primary contact with the customer during the implementation working collaboratively with the customer project manager.
  • The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple small- and large-scale projects following the PerfectServe Project Management Methodology.
  • Must have experience managing Healthcare IT Projects such as EMR, EHR or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, change management and risk assessment
  • Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products, Smartsheet experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Healthcare industry is a plus
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills
  • This position requires interaction with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
  • All employees must be able to communicate with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Depending on the assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; or the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 - 50 pounds.
  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
